Mötley Crüe – Fight For Your Right

New Single, “Fight For Your Right,” Out Now on All Platforms

Mötley Crüe returns with the Cancelled EP. Out everywhere on 4/10, the project marks the band’s first new music since 2019 as well as their debut release with Big Machine Rock. Featuring their recent Top 5 Rock Radio hit, “Dogs of War,” alongside their new single, a cover of the Beastie Boys’ “Fight For Your Right,” and the album’s title track, “Cancelled,” the Crüe is back to remind fans why they remain a force to be reckoned with 40+ years into their career.

“It was really great getting in the studio and working on some tracks together,” Mötley Crüe offered in a joint statement. “What started out as a couple demo ideas turned into this EP produced by Bob Rock. We look forward to getting back into the studio again soon and writing more new music, as well.”

Mötley Crüe’s version of “Fight For Your Right” has quickly become a fan favorite since the band first debuted the song live during their secret 2023 surprise club show at The Underworld in London, UK. At its premiere, 450 lucky, sweat-drenched fans who had come out to see a band advertised as “Dogs of War” got the surprise of a lifetime when Mötley Crüe took the stage with the Beastie Boys classic in their set list.

The veil of speculation surrounding the “Dogs of War” pseudonym was finally lifted when the band released their first new single since 2019 by the same name in the spring of 2024. “Dogs of War” subsequently became a Top 5 Rock Radio hit and accompanied a highly acclaimed official video by director Nick DenBoer. The cutting-edge visual, which is entirely CGI-based, features the members of Mötley Crüe navigating an exhilarating post-apocalyptic world. Watch the video for “Dogs of War” HERE .

Finally, she realises the world is full of opportunities and all you gotta do is step inside.'”

Paul Kelly – Going To The River With Dad

Paul Kelly announced his 29th studio album ‘Fever Longing Still’ will be released on 1 November 2024
The first single from the album is ‘Taught By Experts’ – a song which Kelly originally recorded as blue grass on his 1999 album ‘Smoke’ with Uncle Bill. Now recorded with full band, ‘Taught By Experts’ seamlessly fits into Paul Kelly’s timeless cannon of classics
With Father’s Day approaching, it’s the perfect time to release a second track from the album in ‘Going To The River With Dad’
Paul Kelly talks on writing ‘Going to the River with Dad’: “Inspired by the opening essay of Noel Pearson’s book ‘Mission’. The end days and the early days are one. We’re back in childhood, rubbing the sleep from our eyes. At least at the start of the song we are. By the end of the song we’re way past that young child. We’ve passed our parents even.”
Paul Kelly’s last album was his celebration of all things Christmas with ‘Paul Kelly’s Christmas Train’, a #1 ARIA Album. His last album of new material was 2018’s ARIA Award winning and #1 album ‘Nature’
‘Fever Longing Still’, a phrase taken from Shakespeare’s Sonnet 147, has a clear theme running through each song. Love. Kelly explains: “For close to fifty years I’ve written mostly love songs. I never know what I’m doing until I’m in the middle of it but, looking back, it seems this record is an attempt to present all those kinds of love songs into one forty minute album. Urgent love, patient love, happy love, sad love, deluded love, clear-eyed love, complicated love, the beginning of love, the end of love; love gone wrong, love pretty right, love of clan, love between parents and children, love of oblivion, love of pain, love of revenge.”

Paul Kelly said: “I always had a hankering to record it with chiming electric guitars, a la The La’s, right in (Kelly’s band) Ash (Naylor) and Dan’s (Kelly) wheelhouse. We cut it at Roundhead, Neil Finn’s studio in New Zealand. Cam (Bruce) had a very nice grand piano to play with.”
